Application

Students interested in applying to The College Living Experience may download applications or request that applications be mailed to them. There are two important parts to the application: the student application and the parent questionnaire. Both must be completed for consideration. All applications will be submitted to the College Living Experience National Admissions Office. While admission to CLE is considered an admission to any of its locations, individual site selection will be made upon acceptance and be granted based upon availability.

Costs

The College Living Experience is a year round program and accepts students on an open enrollment basis. The CLE contract and the apartment lease are both signed for a full year. All independent living skills and social skills programming is also conducted year round and there are many academic, work-related, or travel opportunities offered during the summer months. Tuition is paid for one calendar year based on the date of the student’s enrollment.

Admission Dates

College Living Experience provides a unique open door policy. Students are admitted on an ongoing basis during the year based upon available space in College Living Experience and the availability of an appropriate academic program. Although colleges typically run on a semester basis, a limited number of college and vocational programs begin at various times throughout the year and students may begin CLE at one of those start dates.

Admission Decisions

College Living Experience admissions is on a rolling basis. Once the requirements have been met, CLE will determine admission based on the student’s appropriateness, with a decision mailed within two weeks. Once an incoming class at the requested location is full, admitted students may enroll at an alternate location or be placed on a waiting list.

What are you looking for in a student?

The College Living Experience is looking for students who are ready to face the challenges of college and the real world, knowing that they will be given all of the support that they need to be successful along the way. CLE is not the appropriate environment for students with serious conduct disorders, psychiatric disorders, or addiction issues.
