CLE Enrichment Series
CLE provides opportunities outside of the classroom for enrolled students to develop the self-advocacy, social skills and independent living skills necessary to live on their own.
Students with Asperger’s, autism, learning disabilities and other special needs can learn how to live as independent adults through CLE’s enrichment programs, including CLE Serves.
CLE Serves
CLE Serves brings together current and former CLE students from all locations to spend their spring break volunteering and learning. Each spring break will present a new opportunity for students to travel, live and work together while volunteering their time to a worthy cause.
CLE Serves 2010
The 2010 CLE Serves trip will take students to the North Cascades National Park in northern Washington state for one week during their respective spring break sessions. Students will meet in Seattle on the Saturday at the beginning of spring break, tour the city together for one day and stay in the city Saturday night. Then students will travel to the North Cascades National Park, where they will stay for five days with a small group of CLE students and staff members. During their stay students will also:
-
Reside in National Park Service housing;
-
Plan, shop for and prepare their own meals;
-
Participate in a variety of volunteer activities;
-
Learn about the structure and function of the National Park Service; and

Students will spend the last night of their trip in Seattle before returning to CLE on the Saturday at the end of spring break.
