CLE Enrichment Series
For four consecutive weeks in March 2011, CLE students from all sites will have the opportunity to spend their Spring Break volunteering at North Cascades National Park in Washington State. Accompanied by CLE staff, students will:
- reside in Park Service housing;
- plan, shop for and prepare their own meals;
- participate in a variety of volunteer activities as stewards of our national lands; and
- tour attractions of downtown Seattle on both ends of the park experience.
Students will also learn about the structure and function of the National Park Service, add new skills and experience to their resumes, and explore career opportunities with the federal government. Students will learn and build new relationships while:
- Preserving our public lands for future generations;
- Serving the country;
- Exploring new landscapes;
- Acquiring new skills;
- Building friendships;
- Caring for the environment;
- Working with others toward a common purpose
Students must complete and submit a Student Application Form, a Student Agreement Form and ask a CLE Staff member to submit a Staff Recommendation Form by
December 21, 2010. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve, basis, for qualifying students, with a minimum of four and a maximum of twelve students for each week of the trip.

DATES: Your spring break, 2011
COST: $1,650.00 per person (all inclusive) + round trip airfare to Seattle, WA
- DUE ON JANUARY 14TH: A non-refundable deposit of $500
- DUE ON FEBRUARY 18TH: Balance of program fees, $1,150
APPLICATION DEADLINE: DECEMBER 21, 2010 (Spaces will be assigned on a first come/ first serve basis for qualifying students. This opportunity is only available to current CLE students who continue to make progress in their academic, social and independent living skills.)
