Why did you go into teaching/tutoring?

I love working with young people; they never cease to surprise and challenge you. Our students are at such a pivotal point in their lives and to be able to support them and teach them new skills is a privilege.

Why did you choose special education?

I am particularly drawn to the idea of teaching students that might have been frustrated in a regular school setting how to be successful. For me changing that cycle of failure, empowering the students and teaching them self advocacy are skills that are crucial to continued success.

What keeps you motivated?

My motivation comes from the staff I have the pleasure to work with and the small achievements that students make daily.

What is your favorite thing about working at CLE?

Each day is a new challenge and learning experience both for me and the students.
